Purchaser Responsibility

Safe use. Responsible riding. Informed ownership.

By purchasing from ATR – Aussie TrailRide Co., you acknowledge and agree to the following responsibilities regarding the use, handling and operation of your electric bike.

1. Safe Use & Operation

The purchaser is responsible for ensuring the safe use and operation of the e-bike at all times.

  • Ride in accordance with all local laws and regulations
  • Wear an approved Australian Standard helmet
  • Follow all road rules and safety guidelines
  • Ride within your skill level and conditions

2. NSW Compliance & Usage

ATR bikes are supplied in a configuration aligned with NSW requirements:

  • 250W compliant setting for road use
  • Pedal Assist System (PAS) required for road riding

Important: Higher performance settings are for private property use only.

The purchaser is responsible for ensuring lawful use in their state or territory.


3. Assembly Responsibility

ATR bikes are delivered approximately 95% assembled.

  • Final assembly must be completed correctly before use
  • All bolts, brakes, tyres and components must be checked prior to riding

Professional assembly by a qualified bike mechanic is strongly recommended.


4. Maintenance Responsibility

The purchaser is responsible for maintaining the bike in safe working condition.

  • Regularly check tyre pressure
  • Maintain brakes and chain condition
  • Ensure all components remain secure
  • Follow proper battery care guidelines

Failure to maintain the bike may affect safety, performance and warranty eligibility.


5. Weight Limits & Load Capacity

Typical maximum load capacity: up to 150kg (varies by model)

The purchaser must ensure this limit is not exceeded.

Exceeding weight limits may result in damage, injury or voided warranty.


6. Passenger & Child Safety

  • Use appropriate seating or child restraints where required
  • Ensure total load remains within safe limits
  • All riders must wear approved helmets

The purchaser accepts full responsibility for passenger safety.


7. Battery Care & Charging

  • Use only the supplied charger
  • Avoid overcharging or leaving the battery flat
  • Store in a cool, dry environment

Improper battery care may reduce performance or cause damage.


8. Modifications

Any modifications are undertaken at the purchaser's own risk.

  • May void warranty
  • May impact safety and performance
  • May result in non-compliance for road use

9. Risk & Liability

Riding an e-bike involves inherent risks.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ATR is not liable for:

  • Injury or damage resulting from misuse
  • Failure to follow safety guidelines
  • Improper assembly or maintenance

10. Acceptance of Responsibility

By purchasing from ATR, the customer confirms they understand and accept these responsibilities.
